Libretto – Ill-Oet: The Last Element (2004)

We’re still in Portland and now we’re taking a closer look at the Lifesavas’ crew Misfit Massive. Libretto is another member of the crew and his album is really teeming with guest spots and stand-ins by both the Lifesavas as well as by Sly the Brown Hornet, another cat in the crew. You could almost call it a crew album. (Check the credits on discogs to see what I mean.)
So while Jumbo and them add their brand of music, Watts-born Libretto himself adds a healthy dose of that Californian funk sound — some nicely smooth production done by the man himself.
