I was recently reminded by krukz that Jeru’s next album wasn’t too bad either… in fact I’d say it’s about as equally dope as the first. No wonder, cos again, the winning formula is
Jeru + Primo = headnods.
It’s Jeru’s deep, calm voice and amazingly crisp delivery combined with Premier’s gripping beats that I think of when I hear the “New York sound.” New York, that’s them, to me.
I think I’ll end up posting the other two Jeru albums as well, eventually. For now, let this one marinate and call me in the morning…
